Tatiana’s Shadow
Celeste Hastings
LEIMAY PRESENTING SERIES 2010: FERMENT
Tatiana’s Shadow is an abstract, otherworldly, vampire mystery, paying homage to filmmaker Jacques Tati. Tati meets Dark Shadows, Twin Peaks, Caruso, the 1920’s Follies and more. Celeste is interested in developing Tatiana’s Shadow into an evening-length work.
Celeste Hastings was a soloist with Poppo & the Gogo Boys for over twelve years and performed with Akira Kasai at Japan Society in 2007. Her solo work has been presented in NYC by the NY Butoh, Here, Howl, Dixon Place, and White Wave festivals as well as in France, Germany and Japan. The Butoh Rockettes have had an underground following for more than a decade.
