Qualia Holometaboly is an installation-performance, scored in four to six twelve-minute loops. Chains of four kinetic string-sculptures are powered by four performers who are attached to each structure by a string around their waist. The strings serve as conduits for currents; manifested as movement; creating a resonance which allows for an interplay between the materials of body and sculpture. This resonance is perceived as spatio-temporal ripples revealing the physics of causality and potentials for interconnectivity. This work explores the relationship between space, materials, and bodies and how each is affected by the other through interdependence.
