Bodies on the Brink
Ximena Garnica + Shige Moriya & LEIMAY Ensemble
Bodies on the Brink pairs dancers of the LEIMAY Ensemble with kinetic sculptures to explore the interplay between the materials of body and sculpture, revealing the physics of causality and metaphoric potential for interconnectivity. This 15 minute score can be looped up to 4 times in a row or can be performed over the course of a full day with pauses. The work utilizes sonic sculptures with wireless mics that respond to the friction of performance.
