LEIMAY LUDUS represents the continued development and exploration of a multidisciplinary approach to performance and movement, drawing from years of training and research distilled from diverse influences including Japanese butoh, Noguchi Taiso, Body Weather, and Experimental Theater.
⊙ Limited work-trade positions are available to returning students.
Who should apply?
All LUDUS Classes are accessible to everyone, regardless of experience. Whether you are a professional artist or new to movement practice, you are welcome to join. No prior dance or movement training is necessary. LEIMAY LUDUS fosters an inclusive environment where new and experienced participants can engage in personal development and artistic exploration.
Community class:
This dynamic class invites all community members—regardless of experience—to unlock their creativity and explore the power of embodiment through LEIMAY LUDUS practices. Engage in imaginative and playful explorations of transformation and connection by delving into the unique aspects of LEIMAY LUDUS: LUDUS STRINGS, BECOMING, PLASTILINA, FIRE, VOICE, and WATER. Each aspect offers a distinct pathway to creativity and embodiment.
Using guided imagery and improvisation, you’ll experience the fluidity of water, the magic of transformation, and the deep connection between your body, other beings, and the environment. These practices cultivate awareness, imagination, and curiosity, encouraging you to expand your movement potential in surprising and joyful ways.
Whether flowing like water, morphing into new shapes, or exploring the pull of imaginary forces, this class offers a welcoming, meditative, and inclusive space for personal discovery and shared experience. No prior movement experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and come as you are!
