Mana Hashimoto
Improvised piece, which communicates through sound and movement.
Mana Hashimoto was born in Tokyo and came to the US in 1993 to study contemporary dance in NYC
and jazz (music) composition in Boston. In 1999, she lost her sight completely and began a journey to
discover her original approach to creative dance. Since then, she has performed extensively in the U.S.,
Europe and Japan, including at the Jacob’s Pillow, Edinburgh Fringe and Avignon Butoh festivals.
