Cracked Landscape
Tania Garrido
LEIMAY PRESENTING SERIES 2010: FERMENT
This excerpt Cracked Landscape, created by the Cranämour Dance-Theater Company is about a living being planted in a wasteland. With ephemeral gestures it walks through a space with no periods no commas. A charred tree burned by the speed of the city’s lifestyle wanders along with other inhabitants of any major city.
Tania Garrido is a graduate of Madrid’s Theater University (RESAD) and has studied Butoh with Wendell Wells in Madrid, SU-EN in Sweden, and Ko Murobushi, Yukio Waguri, Imre Thormann and Atsushi Takenouchi at CAVE in NYC. At present, she works with Karlik Danza and El Teatro del Silencio, and co-directs Cranämour Dance-Theater Company, where she creates and produces her own work (www.cranamour.blogspot.com).
