LUDUS Training Community Class
Ximena Garnica, Andrea Jones
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM 2014: LUDUS
Led by LEIMAY artistic director Ximena Garnica and company member Andrea Jones, this was a donation based drop-in class and accessible to everyone. No dance or movement training necessary. LEIMAY has been investigating and exploring a variety of exercises which aid in the conditioning of a loose and fluid body. This work can help to relieve tension and relax tired muscles. If you spend lots of time in front of a computer, or if you are feeling stiff, or if you want to try a very gentle and soft approach to body conditioning, these classes might be for you! Through these exercises participants gain the opportunity to investigate the following principles: -Awareness of consciousness, gravity and internal rhythm – strength and body fluidity – internal openness and energy flow.
