LEIMAY PRESENTING SERIES 2018: SOAK

A meditation in music and movement, on physical and spiritual homes loved and lost. Traversing the psyches of women who depart, women exiled or forbidden, mezzo soprano Judith Barnes evokes a shifting, ever-transforming landscape, singing now a mystical song of death and transfiguration, now a exile’s farewell, now a lamentation for a lost, widowed city. Turning back for one last look, these women inhabit a world of salt and longing.
