NEW YORK BUTOH FESTIVAL 2005: PERFORMANCE
Evan Mazunik conducted the New York Soundpainting Orchestra (NYSO) during the second iteration of the New York Butoh Festival, with Gil Salinger as the assistant soundpainter, and playing cello.
This performance featured Caitlin Jemison’s vocals, Amie Weiss and David Grunberg on violin, Glenda Goodman playing viola, Alex Foote, Lily Maase, Bruce Holmburg, and Adam Caine on guitar, Jay Foote, Michael Bates and Youen Cadiou on double bass, and Jane Rigler and Diana Wayburn on flute.
Brett Ryan, Jay Berckley, and Jeremy Danneman played alto saxophone, Lorenzo Sanguedolce played tenor saxophone, and Alon Nechushtan played piano and accordion. Christian Pincock was on laptop and trombone, and Sam Kulik on trombone. John O’Brian, Mike Fortune, and Eric John Eigner did percussion, with Eigner also playing clarinet.
